Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Bridge ("Bridge", "we", "us") is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It applies to bridgetrades.ca, our checkout and booking pages, and the services we deliver to clients.
1. Information We Collect
- From clients (tradespeople who sign up): your name, business name, trade, business address, email, phone number, and the content you give us to build your website (photos, logos, text, licensing details). Payment details are collected and stored by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
- From prospective clients: if you book a call or contact us, we collect the details you provide (name, email, business information). We may review publicly available information about your business (your website, Google listing, reviews) to prepare for our call with you.
- From our clients' customers: to deliver review requests and lead follow-up on a client's behalf, we process the names and contact details (phone, email) of that client's customers. We process this information only on the client's instructions.
- From website visitors: our site does not use advertising trackers. Embedded services (Stripe checkout, Calendly booking) may set their own cookies subject to their policies.
2. How We Use Information
- To build and host your website, set up your Google Business Profile, and operate your dashboard;
- To send automated review requests and lead follow-ups on your behalf;
- To process payments, provide support, and send service communications;
- To prepare for sales and onboarding calls, including research assisted by AI tools (see section 3).
We do not sell personal information — yours or your customers' — to anyone, ever.
3. AI and Automated Processing
Some parts of our service use artificial intelligence providers (such as Google's Gemini) — for example, to research a business's public online presence before a call, or to power dashboard features like the AI Daily Brief. We share with these providers only the information needed for the task, and their use of data is governed by their own terms. We do not use your information to train AI models.
4. Service Providers We Share With
We use trusted third parties to operate the Service, each receiving only what they need: Stripe (payments), Google (Business Profile, AI services), Calendly (call booking), our website hosting providers, and email/SMS delivery providers for automated messages. We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. Our Clients' Customers
When we send review requests or follow-ups to a client's customers, we act on that client's behalf. Clients are responsible for ensuring their customers have consented to be contacted, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every automated message includes a way to opt out, and we honour opt-outs promptly. If you received a message sent through Bridge and want your contact details removed, email us and we will remove them.
6. Retention and Deletion
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations (for example, financial records retained for tax purposes). When a client cancels, we delete or anonymize their customers' contact data within a reasonable period after the final billing cycle. You may request deletion of your information at any time.
7. Your Rights
Under PIPEDA you may ask us to: show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it; and you may withdraw consent to further processing (which may limit the Service we can provide). To exercise any of these, email admin@bridgetrades.ca. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
8. Security
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), access is limited to those who need it to deliver the Service, and payment data is handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-compliant systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date above and notify active clients by email.
